CERAMICS FOR THE TABLE
Settling into our rebuilt studio and house
From my studio just outside Boulder, Colorado, I make pottery rooted in personal history and everyday ritual. I am inspired by the dishes of my past: the special holiday China and heirloom mashed potato bowl brought out for Thanksgiving, alongside the playful coffee mug from my childhood that revealed a hidden frog at the bottom. Because of these memories, I design ceramics meant for celebrations, while also exploring the quiet psychology of our daily routines. I often wonder: why do we choose a specific cup every morning? Is it the perfect volume, the texture of the surface, or the comfort of the form? My pieces are crafted from porcelain clay, fired to 2325° F, in an electric kiln, and finished with decorative decals that invite connection, storytelling, and joy to your table.
